Affordable Housing

Holistic Wellness Initiative provides affordable housing and supportive services for low-income, elderly, homeless individuals, and families living in Georgia. Holistic Wellness Initiative builds, purchases, renovates, leases, and sales single-family and multi-family affordable units. Holistic Wellness Initiative also provides transitional housing for displaced, homeless, and recovering people. Throughout the years, our management has developed collaborative relationships with community minded lending institutions, investors, housing authorities, service providers, and contractors to help those in need of a place to call home. Through these strategic partnerships, Holistic Wellness Initiative also provides supportive services including referrals to social service agencies, furniture banks, food banks, and other community outreach programs. Holistic Wellness Initiative understands the importance of giving back to our community which has so richly blessed us. We have the opportunity to do this through Holistic Wellness Initiative.

  • "Housing stability is a key factor in a person’s overall health and well-being. When individuals and families experience housing instability, they are faced with mental and physical stress and are forced to make hard choices between basic life necessities and paying for health care. With homelessness affecting more than 550,000 people every day throughout our country, the need for safe, stable, and affordable housing has never been greater." -  Kaiser Permanente

NACA Home Ownership Mortgage Program

If you are ready to transition from renter to homeowner, The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America and Atlanta Housing's Homeownership Program are worth looking into.

"The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ("NACA") is a non-profit, community advocacy and home ownership organization. NACA’s primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable home ownership. NACA has made the dream of home ownership a reality for thousands of working people by counseling them honestly and effectively, enabling even those with poor credit to purchase a home or modify their predatory loan with far better terms than those provided even in the prime market." The NACA mortgage allows NACA Members to purchase their homes with:

  • no down payment,
  • no closing costs,
  • no fees,
  • no requirement for perfect credit,
  • and at a below-market interest rate.

The NACA mortgage may be used with other home buyer assistance programs to reduce the home purchase cost. Check the FAQ sections of other available home buyer assistance programs to see if there are any restrictions that may apply. To see how much you may qualify for, click on the NACA Mortgage Calculator link, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the requested information.

Atlanta Housing Home Ownership Program

Atlanta Housing's Homeownership Program (Down Payment Assistance) is designed to help increase home ownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income first-time home-buyers, which are those persons at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) as published by the U.S. Department of HUD. This is accomplished through community development support, partnerships, outreach initiatives, home-buyer education and subsidy assistance. Eligible candidates can receive up to $25,000 in subsidy assistance from Atlanta Housing. The Atlanta Housing’s Down Payment Assistance Program can be used in conjunction with down payment assistance funding from other sources or agencies.
